How to Change SSH Port on Ubuntu

Yeah.  Lovely IPB and the transition between 3.X and 4.X resulted in some threads having data loss.  We thought we got it all by some workaround and fixes we did, however in the end I guess this one slipped through the cracks.  tldr: edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config file.  The line that ssays "Port...

I think they just clear the malware, but they don't actually patch the hole. (That's what he said?)

Anyone running solar powered stuff at home?

I guess the limit for me is the fact that I"m in an apartment complex and if I try to get on the roof they'll probably charge me of something.

Seagate faces class-action lawsuit over 3TB hard drive failure rates

Good point @fm7.  After all Backblaze I think does a burn-in test before deploying them.  Could potentially cause some issues.

Seagate faces class-action lawsuit over 3TB hard drive failure rates

IANAL, so honestly my guesses are the same as bullshit so don't really mind me. But I would speculate they could potentially make a case that (as this was during the Thailand flood and drive crisis) Seagate knew they were selling bad drives.   This however would require a proper...

Just wanna let everyone know to watch your liver.  Lost a very good friend of mine last week.  Was in the hospital for two weeks before that.  Liver Failure.  He drank a ton (and by that I mean he would black out drinking every night and would often be drunk by six before we had dinner)...

Dacentec - Unreliable Network Ran by Amateurs - Recommendations

Yeah honestly dacentec wasn't too bad until the giant influx of LET/LEB providers (I've been using them way before the first Lenoir offer showed up on LEB).  Also doesn't help that from the looks of it, Dacentec only has Telia as their upstream/central ISP and routes their other "peers" through...

Dacentec - Unreliable Network Ran by Amateurs - Recommendations

I'll start with this: https://www.versaweb.com/rto.php A Xeon L5630 (1 processor by the way, you can buy a second one though), 36 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD and 25 TB on 1 Gbit for 60 dollars a month.  Or a L5639 with same specs ora E3-1230 for 70 dollars a month.  That's a start.

Dacentec - Unreliable Network Ran by Amateurs - Recommendations

Well one of the few RTO providers out there don't have the hardware as good as that.  Versaweb has RTOs right now, however any customization isn't monthly and is all one-time-pay at crazy amounts (100 dollars for a single 1 TB HDD or 200 dollars for a 2 TB HDD).   I've previously loved...
