BlueVM outted on WebhostingTalk.com as bad pay

I agree (obviously). Now, if only people cared more about things like government, the NSA, cat pictures, etc. than drama, the world might become a better place. Especially the cat pictures.

BlueVM outted on WebhostingTalk.com as bad pay

I'll dig up the thread on LET where Justin explained the whole mess. Basically it involved WHT Admins being idiots, jumping to conclusions, and refusing to listen to him. They seem to dislike BlueVM in general, as I get warnings for pretty much every post I make, and other BlueVM Staff members...

BlueVM outted on WebhostingTalk.com as bad pay

On a related note, I posted Justin's reply there and within a MINUTE it was gone with a brand new warning on my profile. http://prntscr.com/2sm2i7 There's a reason I don't hang around WHT much.

BlueVM outted on WebhostingTalk.com as bad pay

    Found the Fortatrust thread. http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/11896/fortatrust-adding-non-paying-clients-to-shameroll-with-a-public-blacklist-page/p1

BlueVM outted on WebhostingTalk.com as bad pay

First, RE Fortatrust... There's a whole story about that which was posted on LET a while back (along with the stories from other former Fortatrust clients). I'll let Justin know about this thread, but I wouldn't expect a reply on WHT, unless the staff there have stopped their abnormal hate of us.

    BlueVM OpenVZ 512 MB (CH)

When Justin finishes IPv6 in Feathur. Depending on how busy we end up getting (yay sales), it could be a few weeks. And if people would quit asking to get IPv6 early, because we're not doing manual IPv6 allocations.

Official: Comcast to Buy Time Warner for $45 billion

Like the FTC will allow that.

    Looking for a Pandora alternative.

They have a client in development for Linux. You can install it on Ubuntu. I've had some success running the Windows client in WINE, but... It's running in WINE, so it's not the best.

Feathur - bugs and more bugs.

@mtwiscool Try generating a SSH key again yourself and using that. Also make sure the public half of the keypair is properly put in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys and that the permissions are correct.

Feathur - bugs and more bugs.

So, the way that Feathur determines if the node is connectable or not (thus if it's up or not) is by testing if it can connect via SSH to the node. SO, that suggests to me that the SSH keypair wasn't set up properly.

Feathur - bugs and more bugs.

Keep in mind that Feathur is still in development. That said, it's working just fine for BlueVM in production, so it's something with your setup.

    Looking for a Pandora alternative.

Definitely Spotify. Even the free plan is okay. I have Premium and love it.

    BlueVM OpenVZ 512 MB (CH)

We'll be able to push native IPv6 in Zurich as soon as Feathur is ready for IPv6. While we've HAD IPv6 available there, we have not been manually assigning blocks to clients due to the fact that manually managing /64s would be extremely difficult and hard to track. IPv6 is coming along nicely...

Where do you buy your hardware from?

I like TigerDirect and Fry's. Fry's if it's something I NEED to work because I can get it replaced significantly faster should I need to, and there's not a risk of it having been destroyed in shipping. Recently got a printer, a wifi AP, and some network stuff there that ended up cheaper than...

    BlueVM Change of Ownership?

Before we moved to ColoCrossing locations, we had services with a wide range of DCs. Colo@ for both LA and ATL, Continuum in IL, WSI in Kansas, and Incero in Dallas. We had older and less powerful hardware back then as well, mostly Dual L5420's with 16GB RAM. We also had no rDNS authority, and...

    BlueVM Change of Ownership?

I believe it was throat cancer. He's also been busy with IPv6 for Feathur recently too. I'm letting Justin know about this so he can make an official statement about it. Until then, any statements I make are completely my own and in no way represent BlueVM Communications.

    Difficulties of a /64

I think a /56 per node would be more than enough. That's enough for 256 separate /64 allocations. You're not likely to get more than 256 VPSes on a node (unless it's really beefy, and even then you'd probably run into some process count issues).

    Difficulties of a /64

Feathur (when IPv6 is finished) should allow delegating of various IPv6 blocks including a /64. I haven't looked at the code recently, but IPv6 is coming along nicely. Can't wait for it to be finished!

Test Services / Help with cgroups / KVM abusability?

I have 13.10 on my Dedi I'm doing testing with QEMU 1.7 on, and BlueVM runs it on our new KVM nodes. Works MUCH better than CentOS 6 does for KVM. Newer kernel, newer QEMU... Yeah. MUCH better.
