    IPv6 Availability by City

My ISP has crappy connectivity. What Telia, HE, Comcast, or nLayer doesn't catch goes to Cogent.

    QuickPacket - Dual Xeon L5420 - 16 GB RAM - 1 TB HD - KVM over IP / IPMI - $49.99 per month

Just a quick question re. IRC: are private bouncers and bots allowed?

Just received this on Skype from Nick @ RamNode

I know. If this happens again, I guess I'm looking at Linode.

How do you take your coffee?

I press my coffee using a french press, then add cream and sugar to it. But I'll just make sweet tea most of the time.

    vpsBoard advertisements.

I personally use Project Wonderful. It's very flexible so it takes away the need to do ads in-house, although I'm sure you'll stay in-house. Anyway, I say go for it if it's not obnoxiously in your face. A nice small text ad on the sidebar or at the top would be fine.

Your new VPS is provisioned, what is the first thing you do once you connect?

    apt-get update apt-get dist-upgrade wget https://github.com/Xeoncross/lowendscript/raw/master/setup-debian.sh chmod +x setup-debian.sh ./setup-debian.sh system apt-get install rsyslog sed -i "s/PermitRootLogin yes/PermitRootLogin no/g" /etc/ssh/sshd_config sed -i "s/\#PasswordAuthentication...

    Incero Review - AVOID

Boston connectivity is likely going to be backhaul from NYC/DC and at best likely Cogent/Abovenet stuff.

What are you using IPv6 for?

I am now using my Hurricane Electric IPv6 tunnel far more often, sometimes swapping in my ISPs 6rd tunnel. I barely notice a thing while using the tunnel to browse the web. I have IPv6-enabled most of my sites (thanks to RamNode), so that's a bonus.

ChicagoVPS 256MB "Basic Holiday Promo" $12/year OpenVZ VPS

It got off lucky. I was on CHI55. I'm going to send in a ticket for a reset on it because I need a testing VPS for my panel.

Embedding the DokuWiki parser into your website

This doesn't relate to VPSes as a whole.

Embedding the DokuWiki parser into your website

I don't know where to stick this, but I just want it out before I code my stuff. With everyone making replicas of household names like SolusVM and WHMCS I might as well share this. Use cases might include: In-context help A lazy man's documentation package Something to add gags onto like ads...

With the development of new alternative panels soon to hit the market...

I'll be working on a little cPanel alternative in 2 flavors: Lite and Enterprise. I'm going to work on lite for a while to see if it catches any usage, and if it does I'll work on enterprise.

ChicagoVPS / CVPS Hacked. New SolusVM exploit? (Content Restored) [PT. 1/2]

I totally agree. When one of my RamNode VPSes got wiped, I thankfully had a copy of the Minecraft world it hosted on another machine.

Hostbill Source Code Released and 0-Day Exploits Found

Looks like we didn't need that $9990 for a 0-day, right?

Is WHMCS next to be exploited?

Haven't been connecting the dots :P Anyway, I still think that there needs to be a good open source billing and control panel solution. This has just shown that the closed-source stuff is not worth it anymore.
