    IPv6 Availability by City

My ISP doesn't have IPv6. Anywhere. Their peering is also crap. Anything that's going non-local from my area goes out either by Abovenet or by XO Communications. They have a lot of local peers though. But nowhere do thu have IPv6

    Potential BlueVM WHMCS Breach

Well, he has family stuff going on. Somewhat important family stuff. Again, I'm trying to see when ee'll have a statement ready for distribution.

    Potential BlueVM WHMCS Breach

We'll be releasing a statement about this soon (as soon as Justin has time to type it up. He's busy with other things right now that are a little bit higher priority). Short form is this though: We weren't actually compromised. There is no dump (except for the ones WE took immediately after...

Reserving Disk Space you Purchased from the Oversold VPS providers

However, clients using methods like this can ALSO mess stuff up very easily. If you want stuff for $2 per month, doing this shit WILL make prices rise, and make new hosts die fast.

ChicagoVPS / CVPS Hacked. New SolusVM exploit? [PT 2/2]

Good luck with the lawsuits. You'll probably spend MORE on legal costs than you could possibly win in a judgement.

    Potential BlueVM WHMCS Breach

Well, we'd taken down WHMCS, making it somewhat hard to send a mass-email out.

Your new VPS is provisioned, what is the first thing you do once you connect?

My first steps are usually package updates, then change root pass, then add my SSH keys. Then I run a setup script I've put together (as of recently) to install/uninstall things that I either need or don't need.

    Weird plane on Google Maps

Can you take a screenshot of it? My phone opens it to the roadway outside the airport, and there are lots of planes.

    Weird plane on Google Maps

The plane was likely either almost to take-off, or had JUST landed, still going really fast. Cars on the freeway usually don't go above 80-ish (on average), but planes go WAY fast (comparatively).

A new, faster version of Wi-Fi was officially rubber-stamped Wednesday

Wired will still be top in latency/stability. WLAN still has to share airwaves with other devices, while with Wired LAN it's a private cable.

INIZ.. 1 month & 5 days... Oh god!

You should avoid having me on your team in a FPS match with friendly fire turned on. My high powered sniper rifle and I have Inadvertantly killed plenty of teammates. Also, I once managed to take out my ENTIRE TEAM with a well placed HE 'nade. Oops!

Do you have a current backup of your servers?

I backup my IRCd configs (which I could recreate in an emergency), and my Anope DBs and config to each of my servers (which has the added benefit of making it really easy to switch services to a different server of I need to). I also back up my M C server to all my VPSes (except the 30GB of...

    [Poll] Signature Regulation (Unofficial Poll)

Please none of that # of colors crap. I say we use a "eye-sore" test. If it hurts anyone's eyes to look at it, it isn't allowed.

A new, faster version of Wi-Fi was officially rubber-stamped Wednesday

I wonder how good the backwards compatibility is with Wireless G, N, and even B devices is. I know my school still has about 15 OLD IBM thinkpads with Wireless B cards in them. And my laptop (and laptop turned desktop) only have Wireless G cards in them.
