What do you consider valid justification for IP space?

I know @Francisco does this at BuyVM because if there's one IP, a DDoS on it will take down all the accounts sharing that IP. That's not so much the question here, though - we're talking about additional dedicated IPs, especially on VPSes.

    Importance of a SLA

Ahh yes, my bad on the numbers. Percentages confuse me sometimes. Good answers, though, thanks for the insight.

Get number of SBLs and individual IPs marked as spam

@sv01 I never anywhere so much as implied that it should be used in particular on... Why yes, ColoCrossing does have a lot of blocked IPs!

HeroicVPS Summer Sale - Up To 2X VMs for $3.67 - Price Match

Maybe you need to send out a "welcome" e-mail that outlines how to get started. Some expectations can't really be dislodged.

HeroicVPS Summer Sale - Up To 2X VMs for $3.67 - Price Match

Except it was only posted on one offer. You've posted two offers since, but none of them included that line. But hey, I don't expect any potential customers are complaining. Hopefully you aren't either, now that I've drawn attention to it :P

    Importance of a SLA

A lot of us here buy VPSes in the low-end "market". In this market, there aren't as many hosts offering an SLA as there are on the high end. But how much does an SLA mean to you guys? Do you look for one in the TOS? Do you require one? How much uptime do you look for or expect in a $1-15/month...

New registrations only, I assume? Or transfers/renewals too?

HeroicVPS Summer Sale - Up To 2X VMs for $3.67 - Price Match

Part of my enthusiasm may or may not be related to the offer you posted on June 30, which had this gem in fine print at the bottom: Of course, August 31st hasn't passed yet, and I'm the only one that posted. Curious if you'd still honor that for two more customers. Anyway, I also really like...

Running a web based terminal (ssh)

Could always use vi or nano through the terminal! Otherwise, I don't know of anything. You could write your own in PHP or the like, but that gets complicated quickly. Syntax highlighting, AJAX saves, all that is best provided by something else.

    DNS reflection

Not sure why they would have said this. If they were more accurate, they would have said "you are the attack". As the article @Mun posted points out, people are often unaware that their server (and bandwidth) are being hijacked to use in an attack. Best bet is to uninstall BIND if you're not...

ICANN suspends Brandon Gray Internet Services (AKA Domain Registry of America, DROC, etc)

----------------- Thanks for outlining all that stuff @drmike - this is a group with some history to say the least. With this scam all but shut down, I wonder what it'll be next. How's the vaca going, BTW? :P

New vpsBoard summer contest! Win some cash.

Finally starting to get more than one or two reviews in - maybe it's that big banner in everyone's face :P Excellent reviews so far @gxbfxvar. Looks like I'm getting some competition, maybe I should write up three or four more :)

What do you consider valid justification for IP space?

@DomainBop Tell that fine fellow that he's got an excellent policy there - his concern for "customer satisfaction" shows true professionalism!

These guys are pretty legit! The Ashburn location is nice - close to NYC and Atlanta, as well as Equinix.

    B2 Net Solutions / Servermania - Shifting ColoCrossing's Spam

This isn't too surprising. They peer with each other, they both have way more IPs than they should, they both offer dirt-cheap servers. They're besties, really - they probably have a monthly circlejerk in Buffalo while bemoaning how mean Spamhaus is while sitting on a pile of money thrown their...

    INIZ - one year review

Iniz is a very solid provider. Patrick runs a top-notch business. I especially like the NYC location - pretty good network there through Inforelay.

Does anyone offer Xen servers anymore?

Xen is definitely the "underdog" in the low end segment, KVM being more prominent, but at the enterprise level Xen shows up a lot more.

How do you like your VPSes?

Ideally I'm looking for 512MB RAM. Like @MannDude said, it's big enough that I don't have to worry about optimization. Disk and bandwidth sizes don't matter that much to me since I never use much of either. As a minimum, though, in terms of disk I might say 10GB SSD, 20GB HDD. Gigabit port is...
