That second link actually points to https://vpsboard.com/100mb.test

iptables v1.4.7: Bad IP address "

Clearly because of the extra zeroes on the last octet. 192.168.2.008 is an invalid IP, 192.168.2.8 isn't. And I don't even know anything about iptables. Seriously, if you're already having problems like this... (shudders)

    CaliHop closing down

Huh - strange they're still advertising/selling them on their website.

Anyone have $50 million I can borrow?

Somewhere in my business plan, I'd have to open up a form that would allow users to submit links to records from the various companies that have blacklisted CC in one way or another. Admittedly, it would be hard to find all of them, there being so many. But a more determined cleaner-upper you...

update on $1 per year vps idea (32MB Club)

Somehow I don't see a very rigorous testing process happening in the next 4 days...

    CentralNic acquires InternetBS

I'm glad I don't have any domains with Internet.bs. I've known for a while that they have the best prices, but somehow I wouldn't be surprised to see some price increases over the next few months to make them "more competitive". CentralNIC doesn't seem like the best owner for a company like this...

Anyone have $50 million I can borrow?

As we all know, when it comes to ColoCrossing, titles and positions are very "flexible".

Running your own small ftp server

Probably a dumb question, but why no local users? If I just adduser that has essentially no privileges except in their home directory, what harm can they do? Good tutorial overall, and SFTP is a nice addition.

update on $1 per year vps idea (32MB Club)

The topic, whether or not that was your intention, has shifted to how this is a bad idea and how you are being very unprofessional in going about it. Thus, pointing out that you have a hotmail.com address and not an @32mb.club address is on topic.

Anyone have $50 million I can borrow?

I'm well aware of how messed up a lot of ColoCrossing is, which is why I suggested buying it out and "reforming" the company. Hard work? Yes. Worth it due to how much cleaner the web would be? Yup.

Anyone have $50 million I can borrow?

Obviously my proposition isn't serious, so I'm curious why you're LOLing.

New vpsBoard summer contest! Win some cash.

I think many of us might have thought you'd just look at the reviews forum. I know I did. I see now we need to post a link, so here's my first entry:

Anyone have $50 million I can borrow?

Gotta have some money to spare for other stuff :) Besides, companies usually sell for more than the value of their assets. Biloh would want something to live on for the next 40 years.

Anyone have $50 million I can borrow?

If anyone has $50,000,000 I could borrow, I'd like to buy out ColoCrossing 100%. From there, I'd shut down all servers with IPs in Spamhaus SBL ranges pending verification of the identity of the owners. If the owner is a known spammer or refuses to provide satisfactory information, I'd take them...

    SkyToaster Review

Quick update: SkyToaster sent out an e-mail on the 3rd (yesterday), mentioning the switch to native IPv6 as well as the fact that customers who posted a review to this site would receive $5 free credit. I posted a review (a unique one). I posted, but it takes time for the review to appear. I was...

    Need Help with DNS

Clearly, bind does not have the permission to open the configuration files. If you created them as root, you should change the ownership to the BIND user.

update on $1 per year vps idea (32MB Club)

Would only work if those pestering him pissed us off first. That's what this is all about: starting an anti-vpsBoard circlejerk. I'm sure ColoVPS would be happy to drop in.

update on $1 per year vps idea (32MB Club)

What good would GVH/CC be to @mtwiscool? No IPv6 there, and even ColoCrossing can't do IPv4s for $1/year. ...Can they?

    Need Help with DNS

Find out where BIND logs to and post the error logs. On Ubuntu, BIND logs to /var/log/syslog - Google around if you're not sure of the log location on the distro you're using. Which distro are you using, BTW?
