    Yet Another SolusVM Alternative: VPSM

Just some screenshots for those interested: http://vpsm.net/thread-14.html I'm still working on the IP management portion of it since IPv6 is proving to be tricky and I need to get the IP blocks working better. I'm in the process of learning AJAX to finish up the client area buttons, that's...

Thought Experiment: A Completely Anonymous Web Site

I've come up with a nice plan to become completely anonymous online but there is a key ingredient that only a few of us have. While I won't divulge this info, I am interested in testing it out somehow. :)

    Yet Another SolusVM Alternative: VPSM

I deleted the Google Code project and created a new one on GitHub. It'll take me a while until I get time to sit down and figure it all out though.

    Yet Another SolusVM Alternative: VPSM

I've never used GitHub and I already setup a Google Code project. I'll look into it though.

    Yet Another SolusVM Alternative: VPSM

Just a quick update. It looks like I will be pushing the code to Google Code in the near future after I do some cleaning (and yes, it's very very bad so even after I clean it up most of you will cry). Here's what I've completed so far: function vpsm_createVPS function vpsm_pwdChange function...

    What would you want for...?

Bah! Why does IP.B keep deleting 75% of my post. :( See these links for the benchmark info: http://community.mybb.com/thread-55401-post-395347.html#pid395347 http://community.mybb.com/thread-55401-post-395848.html#pid395848

    What would you want for...?

We have quite a few clients running webservers on our 64MB plans but none are running shared hosting (i.e. selling services on them). I think somebody did some testing a while back and were able to run a lot of static websites but MySQL requires some tweaking to run more than a blog or two...

    Is this poor customer service?

I have never even spoken with anybody at QuickPacket before and my only relationship to them is that we both post on WHT and here. As for our registration dates on here, you'll notice that A LOT of the users on here registered during those dates when LowEndTalk was hacked and offline. It really...

    Is this poor customer service?

It doesn't have much more info that here but the OP is only providing parts of the story. Had he posted all of the conversation instead of out of context replies he might have a leg to stand on. I just hope QuickPacket utilizes FraudRecord.

    Is this poor customer service?

I was thinking the same thing but in the screenshots the OP posted on WHT it shows QuickPacket making mention of blackmail and threats so I'm curious to see what these threats were since the OP somehow forgot to mention this in his post. If he truly did threaten to post negative reviews if they...

    Is this poor customer service?

According to QuickPacket this person works for a competitor.  http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=8832436&postcount=5

East coast or central US KVM with native IPv6 needed.

Thanks Tim you rock! With the extra core the processes finish in 113 seconds and no reboot required. This thread can be closed now. :)

East coast or central US KVM with native IPv6 needed.

Yes and I would much rather stick with that VPS since it's already configured and running, unfortunately when I installed Observium on it yesterday the load on it jumps up to 40+ and stops responding until I reboot it via SolusVM. I'm assuming it's the CPU since the IO seems normal and RAM usage...

    Colocrossing IP charges

Keep in mind that ARIN just lowered the prices for IPv4 in July so these $0.10/month IPs are still profitable. We're a small provider compared to a lot of other companies on this board and we're paying less than $0.03/month per IP, if we expand any more we'll be looking at $0.02/month per IP.

    How to decipher everything

Wow, the NSA continues to impress me more and more. If I knew about this kind of stuff in high school my life would be completely different right now.

Cogent and Level3 are preferred but I guess it's not a deal breaker if the latency is under 50ms to the servers it is monitoring.

    Colocrossing IP charges

This. There was one person on IRC that said they were quoted one thing and then were invoiced for a lot more so they had to pull out.
