Retiring this old box after 10 years :(

3652 days uptime, served as a backup machine and small web server, finally retiring the machine. 10 years, pretty damn good uptime, had a backup power supply and everything. Switching it out for a brand new machine (i7).

How much would the box be worth? Like $10-$15? Its an pentium machine, custom case built for easy drive change, its got 512mb ram (can support about 1024mb if you can find the ram chips).

Out of curiousness, what kernel did you start on and keep? :D

Out of curiosity, which Atom CPU? I can't remember any Atom CPUs 10 years ago.

I believe its an atom, I'm not exactly sure, the power supply is dead on it, if you want I can take a few pictures of it and you can decide for yourself...

All I know as a fact is it came with windows 2000, when I got it windows 2000 was the "big" operating system. If you'd like pictures PM me.

It came with Windows and you never restarted the server for 3652 days?

Even if it was a Linux box, what version of kernel it is running at the time of retirement?

I can't digest this...

Holy freaking overdue patch motherload :)

Must of been one idle machine with connection only a LAN.

We had a year ago a Pentium 3 Compaq running with 512MB RAM. This was donated to a HAM and is still running great!
