    Ticket system e-mails

Why do ticket systems insist on sending me an e-mail when I open a ticket? I know I just opened that ticket! Why do you have to clutter my inbox with an e-mail that tells me almost nothing. Definitely e-mail me when someone replies, but otherwise I have enough e-mails to juggle without that one...

Indiana guys I found you a deal!

About 12 hours to go on this and the bidding is at $25. Does that bid come from anyone around here?

    Solid State Desktops and Laptops

I have a 90GB SSD in my home computer. An OCZ Agility 3. Not that impressed, TBH. Granted, this is a pretty "cheap" SSD, but I did expect better. Still, I'm considering a Samsung 840 for my new laptop. I'm pretty sure that with the i7 in that thing it will give me more of a "boost".

    This is just not funny.

Yeah, temperatures here in NH hover in the 80s-90s, not usually 100, but it still makes it a whole lot worse when it's humid - which it always is. I'm pretty sure Vegas isn't as humid; they're more of a dry desert climate.

    ServerHub 2GB review

Just tested the network again and was getting speeds of 30MB/s, still on a 100Mbit line. I'm certainly happy there, but it seems IPv6 is down :( I have reliable info that it's something wrong with their outbound IPv6 routes, which apparently their senior network tech needs to be in to fix, and...

    BBB alternative for hosting industry

I am all in favor of this. Despite all the bad that could happen, I think it could work.

Stallion 2 - pictures and daily updates :)

Yeah. Definitely  for the Stallion 2 release :P Can't wait though. Gotta say I like what I'm seeing in the panel arena. Stallion 2, Tortoise Labs' panel, Feathur a.k.a. BlueCP. All great panels.

    [EXCLUSIVE] TortoiseLabs - 512MB RAM / 30GB DISK / 1000M UNMETERED - $6.75/month

Not bad at all. I tried installing a 32-bit OS which is said to be "beta" and it didn't work. 64-bit and now it's up and running. I would make a recommendation in the panel though: make passwords required for reinstall. Right now they aren't; I accidentally left mine blank and it went through...

    IPv6 Availability by City

Not Phoenix it seems, which is odd since PhoenixNAP has really good IPv6 connectivity.

New ICANN rules will require email/phone verification for domain registration

I already use accurate info. Somewhat of a bother, I assume (hope) it will only be a one time thing per each e-mail/phone number that's used. I doubt it will help much, and honestly I don't understand why there has to be a publicly accessible database of who owns every domain.

    IPv6 Availability by City

That was the other thing I was wondering about: secondary FL markets. What other DCs are there in Jacksonville, and how is their IPv6 availability? Yes, correct. I knew about FrontRangeHosting in Denver, but forgot about SecureDragon. Denver is definitely a go with IPv6; they seem to be a...

    IPv6 Availability by City

I had a thread about this on LET right before the hacks, I'd like to restart it now. I'm curious about how easy it is to get a VPS with IPv6 in certain cities. I already have several that I know about pretty well, but any you can help me find out more about is a plus. Here's what I've got (in...

Cloudflare Business Plan DDoS protection. Anyone use/d it?

I thought you already used it at one point and didn't like it because of incompatibilities with IP.Board?

Montreal. And yes, "out of stock" should definitely be an "anticipated" error.

    [EXCLUSIVE] TortoiseLabs - 512MB RAM / 30GB DISK / 1000M UNMETERED - $6.75/month

Just to make sure, you do allow location swaps, right? Also, do you have test IPs/files/links for Dallas? Edit: Can't order. I keep getting this: Unanticipated application error There has been an unanticipated application error. Engineers have been notified of the error and it should be fixed...

    Semoweb Sold / Acquired?!?!

Yup, you can see Semoweb listed on RLT's website, in the scrolling box at the bottom, right after "Reliabox" and before "Host&Store". My only experience with RLT is through URPad, but the support on URPad has been good since RLT bought them out. Still, whether reasonably or not, I'm always...

    VPSes for Sale (Personal)

I have two VPSes from URPad in my "collection" that I'm selling. Both expire in November, one on the tenth, one on the 12th. They are both from their $12/year 256MB promo, but they both have upgrades. Here's the deal: 256MB memory, 15GB disk, 500GB BW, 2 IP addresses, originally $16/yr...

    Slow OpenVZ servers.

Well, your actual Internet speed is fine, as evidenced by wget and ping. It must be your DNS resolving. You could switch the server to use Google's DNS.

    98 Cent .me domain

Oh wow, I never saw before how expensive renewals are. I guess I've always been looking at new registrations. Those people in Montenegro really want to pull you in with cheap prices then slam you with high renewal charges.
