All forums with any activity usually have most of that activity generated by no more than 10% of the members. That's just the way it is.

    IPv6-Capable VPS in Northeast US

There is no BGP tunnel in NYC. BuyVM tunnels through Miami. But would it be possible to tunnel on the host node for me? Maybe if I flutter my eyelashes? ;)

    IPv6-Capable VPS in Northeast US

Nope. Still looking. I'm hoping @SeriesN's investigations in to tunneling in NYC will be successful, until his DC goes native. I'm also considering DigitalOcean in NYC, again tunneling with HE.net. Weird thing with that, though. I did a traceroute from a DO box to HE.net's NYC tunnel server IP...

IPv6 is now available on ShoveHost VPS!

Presumably native. Check out the datacenter's AS info: AS6130.

    Versatile IT Review

@trewq from Versatile IT was kind enough to provide me with a VPS to review in his new Phoenix location. I've had it for over a month now and have done some testing on it, so I figured it's time to write the review. Before I get in to specs, I'd just like to say that he has been great in working...

    Ideas and suggestions for vpsBoard

Has the site just constantly been under DDoS since it got popular? I'm glad it's behind two layers of protection (CloudFlare and BuyVM filtering). Hopefully them DDoSers will get a life. Also, is there any chance of making the site IPv6-accessible?

Northeast, southwest, whatever. Close enough, right? ;)

IPv6 is now available on ShoveHost VPS!

Was this something you needed to do some work to implement, or was it the datacenter that finally made it available? I have two VPSes in the AIS DC, one with you and one with another provider (though the two IPs are in the same /24), and I'm wondering if since you have IPv6, I can count on the...

    Simple WHMCS/Billing Security!

A lot of these are good security precautions for whatever you're using. Don't reuse passwords, don't put all your eggs in one basket, don't use default/insecure settings or locations for software, keep it up to date, etc. Good tips though.

    10,000 posts!

Feels like just yesterday I had read literally all the posts on vpsBoard. I'm pretty sure there are one or two now that I haven't read ;)

VPS offers - quarterly and semi annual

I'm paying quarterly on two VPSes from Ramnode. I agree with @ that's it's a good term - you have the VPS for a decent amount of time without being bothered with an invoice. Really I have the whole gamut: monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and yearly. Most of my plans are yearly, I'm a sucker...

    Something Wrong with VPSBoard

I didn't see that error, but the site has been slow on and off. Glad to know it's being worked on, and the site does seem more responsive right now.

    IPv6-Capable VPS in Northeast US

I looked up your DC's AS, and I was rather confused. They have IPv6 peers, they announce IPv6 prefixes, but there are no IPv6 prefixes originated. How on earth does that work? Also, doesn't Hurricane Electric offer tunneling in NYC? They are a peer of Atlantic Metro, so I would think it would be...

    IPv6-Capable VPS in Northeast US

Wow @, thanks for doing all this research and putting all this info together. TBH I don't know much about routing, so all this is very useful. Could you please explain further where the core networks are and which markets are backhauling to these? Also, how do I get the discount you mentioned at...

    IPv6-Capable VPS in Northeast US

A little more than I need, too, in terms of specs. Buffalo would also work of course, but IPv6 and Buffalo do not mix. I could also do NYC, or even Montreal if necessary. I'm looking for northeast US or southeast Canada, but Toronto seems to be the best bet in terms of DCs/providers with IPv6...

    IPv6-Capable VPS in Northeast US

I'm looking for a low end VPS in the northeast U.S. (or southeast Canada) with IPv6 capabilities (a must). No bigger than 256MB memory, disk space no object (2GB would do), and low bandwidth (50GB minimum). The main thing is it must have native IPv6. My budget for this VPS is up to $5/mo...

[Backupsy] 500GB for $7/month at new location Buffalo, NY!

Incidentally, in the order form "where did you hear about us?" field you should add an option for "vpsBoard".
