Good tutorial. Whenever I make any changes to SSH settings over SSH, after restarting the service I leave the current SSH session open and try opening another one with the new settings. If it fails, I've still got a connection to be able to fix things.

They had an issue early on, in the beginning. Some sort of outage, I forget the details. Customers were offered a refund, which I took. But that was more because I realized it had been an impulse buy :) During my short experience with it, I found Backupsy to be an excellent, well-managed service.

I'd rather manage it myself. Backupsy seems fine (CC network? test IP isn't on their AS) and great for OwnCloud. Why have just OC when you could have a whole VPS underneath it?

As of last week, I no longer have any VPSes on ColoCrossing's network. This offer could be for a free VPS and I wouldn't take it since it would mean I'd be back on.

Up for me right now (though still no free dev VPS :()

Now that's a little drastic. As much as I'm a fan of IPv6, it's not always a deal breaker, and I suspect we might miss out on a few otherwise good offers/providers with a rule like this.
