    Yet another ChicagoVPS backup issue

CVPS support desk ...  GO Team USA workers my damn foot.  Only if Buffalo boys quarantined them on a Native reservation. Yogest. Uttam and Alon.. and let us not forget Milan! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KH8qN3anQY

    Dreamhost switches to Ubuntu

Interesting :) Debian right now seems to be having multiple community issues with selected packages and general vision. I use mainly Debian, but Ubuntu isn't too bad and I try it now and then to see if things I was previously annoyed with or incompatibilities have been worked out. I can see...

    DrServer XEN 128MB (TX)

I'm glad this experience and review led @drserver to digging into provisioned services and seeing the underprovisioning of CPU resources on containers. It's good to have fruitful, productive group input. In the end, ideally customers get a good product and experience and that's what really...

    USB Armory Mini PC

Meh $100+... that's too much for this... Aside from the form factor and the ARM TrustZone (which is probably just a CPU feature we'll see in slews of other stuff) it's a good $60+ too much. There are plenty of already shipped and powerful Android based sticks (multi-cores and bigger RAM) and...

    DrServer XEN 128MB (TX)

Perhaps you folks are under SSH attempt attacks on the server and or containers in mass.  That's one cause of such login time performance issues, especially where waiting for the prompt to input credentials (if not running keyless setup). Machine is beefy enough and underloaded from your specs.

    DrServer XEN 128MB (TX)

Thanks for the clarification. It's good to know what is expected performance regardless of price point.  It puts a new spin on the whole review process in general. Concerning the CPU cap, albeit 15% is low.  Why would @wlanboy have those massive delays?  Namely these: It's my assumption that...

    DrServer XEN 128MB (TX)

Well, I propose @wlanboy gives one of the other drserver product lines a try (i.e. abusivecores, sugarvps or byteshack).

    Epidrive launches Berry Servers

Cute ;)  Theme brand. Nice to see more options for tiny VPS options.

    DrServer XEN 128MB (TX)

Real bad numbers.  Especially the real world performance (i.e. apt-get 7 minutes, 40 seconds to log in via SSH, etc.). They seem to be using big enough and recent CPU Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz....  probably a Dual E5. So reasons for this subpar performance?  Misconfiguration of...

    USB Armory Mini PC

Pretty awesome little device there :) Wondering what the price point is going to be??? I'd consider one for things my Pi does not so well.... Tunnels, VPN, SSH randomness.

    LET Down?

Kossen on the house maintenance :)  Not bad.  Good cleanups.

    Yet another ChicagoVPS backup issue

Well the email pattern here of re-marketing and not adhering to unsubscribes is ahh common between CVPS and BlueVM.   Just saying.  Another check in the column saying CC/CVPS took over Blue as much as I detest that idea. At least folks didn't receive multiple copies like prior campaigns :) I...

    Yet another ChicagoVPS backup issue

While I have your ear Chris... This.... Whee!  Fun.  Biloh and Fabozzi have been busy crafting and sending out spamvertisements tonight....  Emails... More confessionals gone wrong.   Someone forwarded this funny.... "We also want to introduce you to our new Support Team, by name, not an...

    Yet another ChicagoVPS backup issue

His own backup he ran himself off site? But the ticket delay hockey  ;) Even I'll admit that things do break at times and indeed there are customers who are less than up to technical levels. Oh fun, send me a PM here, that will suffice I suppose. At least to get the ball moving.

    Yet another ChicagoVPS backup issue

That puts the pressure on the consumer and easy to do.  Those buying on LEB and LET and known to be members and then buying and complaining, yep, I agree about those folks knowing better. "You should have been more informed who you were buying from and what you were buying." That's the...

    Yet another ChicagoVPS backup issue

The guy clearly speaks English second or third off his tongue.  So some is mashed up due to such. Someone needs to take the lawyer line to them.  Spend enough cash to make it worth a lawyer-upping or find a lawyer who sees the opportunity of banging CC/CVPS up with a class action or threats of...

    Yet another ChicagoVPS backup issue

Stumbled into this in my pile of stuff a bit ago.  Unsure if it appeared elsewhere yet. Yet another ChicagoVPS loses data claim with no backups in place. Entirely unsure if the customer was using their "optional but included" Central Backup solution.  Multiple days, ticket hockey... etc. I...
