    LET Down?

Bahahahah!  Not the king of legal threats. #People were mean on LET so now I get lawyered up Last things those lads running the daycare want is some legal clash and people looking at their dealings.  FFS they'd get ran out of a Courthouse and might end up in the town circle in the stocks and...

    USB Armory Mini PC

I am with @willie on the niche. Power envelope makes it unlikely that I'd go plugging 3-4 of them into a machine too. To be viable next gen with this ARM-tethered-USB you need to be looking at USB3 speeds, bundling real storage on board or having breakouts for other storage options. Plus...

    CloudF[ai]l[u]are Lacks Failover Support

I've always been a paid DNSMADEEASY ANNUAL customer. The $4.95 per year per domain essentially for failover, it is well worth it and reasonably priced. Fact is, I expect to pay something for a real service.  I am happy to actually --- within reason of course.

    LET Down?

LET is loading fine for me today. But I get steady CloudFlare 5 second site there and wait while we slow you down screen.   CF should slap ads on that 5 second screen I think ;)

VPN.sh Launching New VPN brand FixedRoute

There's far too much of this marketing to new customers and remarketing to customers lost. In this industry, where folks are running companies with mass outages and often week delays in support matters, you have to be a pretty big a--hole to go dinging those former customers with email spam.  I...

VPN.sh Launching New VPN brand FixedRoute

Natives are restless over there ---> http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/22638/vpn-sh-not-well/p5 Is VPN.sh going to clean things up and get running right or what? Namely:

    CloudF[ai]l[u]are Lacks Failover Support

Indeed that's right. Self rolling things is fine and all.  DIY route ads some complexity and costs.  Looking at 2 different severs minimum (3 really to be sane), then a fourth for the monitoring / API tie in.   Starts to add up. I mean honestly, some monitoring and failover for $5-10 a month...

HugeServer Networks Introduces ION Control Panel

Oh I am sure you knew what all that meant prior.  Embargo awareness unsure if you were aware. Hoping not to read about you in the industry media for getting tagged for embargo stuff. I may not agree with such, but laws at that level are might ahh umm, yeah I'll obey them :)

    CloudF[ai]l[u]are Lacks Failover Support

Is that your code?  Thank you if so... Good to see it and to inspire something if I don't just wholesale try to use it as-is. That's entirely the direction I was headed!

    CloudF[ai]l[u]are Lacks Failover Support

It just dawned on me why a certain site has a "cluster"... That is to say multiple A record frontends....  That's the hackaround to CF lacking failover...

HugeServer Networks Introduces ION Control Panel

That's like saying you are in the USA selling good heroin to folks so no problem unless one of your customers gets caught or dies. Fact is, it is illegal and the penalties for this are wide open and severe. If you are here on VISA or similar program, you most likely would be deported from the...

HugeServer Networks Introduces ION Control Panel

Well, that's polite of you. You do realize there is an embargo in the United States and has been since the 1970's involving Iran? That embargo disallows sales of services and products to those in Iran and extends to hosting .ir domains. Similarly,  unallowed to sell product to North Korea and...

    CloudF[ai]l[u]are Lacks Failover Support

The failover piece is just entirely obvious.  It's one of the features I most use with reverse proxy logic in Nginx...  So conceptually the ability exists and isn't too hard to graft onto things. One of their developers said about some DNS Zone hack ability, but that seems manual in nature...

    CloudF[ai]l[u]are Lacks Failover Support

With all the recent site attacks elsewhere and continued finger pointing about CloudFlare, I went over there finally to check their stuff out. Major problem, they have no support for failover.   Meaning no way to tell CF to point elsewhere when your backend server can't be reached. Am I...
