ARM has legs. Real world use.

Hot damn.  That's a nice but expensive board. So I actually turned on the Pine64.  GREAT NEWS!  It runs worse than my Raspberry Pi 2.  I mean I guess I need to go back to the drawing board with my usecase, however running Debian on it feels incredibly clunky and (as many people might say)...

ARM has legs. Real world use.

Yeah 100% not worth the time waiting for it and it's an absolute piece of garbage.  Well it's what I get for backing something untested on kickstarter.  You live and you learn. Cheers mate.  I've been trying to think of good uses for all of them but so far not a whole lot to go off of until I...

Any additional description?  What kind of budget? Best of luck I guess.

looking for 10 vps with residential ips

Most of the time, getting inside residential networks are fairly expensive.  Even a local ISP wants around 150 - 200 dollars per month for a 1U colocation (that's at reduced bandwidth and port speed as well).

ARM has legs. Real world use.

Yeah it is that. I stuck it into the power on holes (Insert "Bow Chica Bow Wow" here) but it's not really secure.  It falls out easily.  Edit: In other news.  Anyone have a specific board they recommend?  I already have a Raspberry Pi 2 and a POS Pine64+.  I'm looking for something that...

ARM chip designer to be bought by Japan's Softbank

I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.   ARM has been growing considerably (especially with the "microcomputing" setups like RaspberryPi taking off), I'm hoping it'll remain a stable platform for all. Anyone more knowledgeable about these kind of situations want to give their...

ARM has legs. Real world use.

So...  My Pine64 came in today.  And by that it was in since last week, I simply just got back home after my vacation.  First thought: I'm actually kinda disappointed in how big this thing is.  I mean I did expect it to be bigger than a Raspberry Pi, just not that much bigger.  If I was an...

I'm waiting for my PINE64 and once I get it I'll get back to you all on it.  Looks great though!

    vpsBoard - Future Discussion

Fair enough with the direction you want to take it @drmike.  I mean after all this community is as much mine as it is yours and everyone else on this forum.  Just because we do try to keep the backside running doesn't mean we're not part of the community as a whole ;) I have some...

TRIPLE POST.  OH NOES!  Yeah I'm a dick for this, but I was writing the two posts above for a few hours (by that I meant I was writing parts of it at my hotel, went out and got some lunch with a friend and a few beers, and then went back to the hotel, wrote some more, then got on a van and...

    vpsBoard - Future Discussion

I thought this would be more organized, but it's more of a brain garbles and I've had a fair amount to drink today for my flight to my next destination.  But you get what I mean.  I have some great ideas on how I think we all (as a community) can improve our own deployments/businesses/setups...

    vpsBoard - Future Discussion

Honestly, I've been following the docker and Cloud and proper cloud + SaaS setups more recently.  Personally, owning a ton of dedicated servers as well as a hand full of crucial VMs, I've focused most of my attention on setups that are more robust.  By that, I usually break it down into two...

    vpsBoard - Future Discussion

Howdy folks! i'm on vacation right now so sorry about my inactivity!  It's been two years since I actually took any vacation time off (all the other travels have been due to work), so this has been something I've wanted to do for a long time.   To be honest, anyone can start up their own...

    ColoCrossing threatens to sue vpsBoard

To be honest, what they say about this situation we can then say the same for LowEndTalk.   LET has some users who dislike vpsBoard (and that's perfectly fine).  But in a similar way they're accusing vpsBoard of being liable for libel you can also suggest LowEndTalk is for vpsBoard.  I've...

ColoCrossing Promotes Fake Reviews via Workers, Insiders, Spammers, Hackers and Shills

I'm going to be completely honest. I have bigger fish to fry than dealing with ColoCrossing and their clown show.  What has changed since last time they pulled poop like this?

    ColoCrossing threatens to sue vpsBoard

We all know vpsBoard is a blog guys. It's a blog where I upload my breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Like the other day, I had a sandwich.  The sandwich was a ham sandwich.   Was pretty good, but the meat was a bit dry.
