So it seems StartSSL has started a competing service to LetsEncrypt.  The following information: I think the biggest/most important thing is that it's not a 90 day cert, but rather 1180 days cert.  Also EV SSL certs.

That's a fair assessment.   Originally we had it set to not have offer threads to get in the Discussions Sidebar.  It seems a new IPB update changed configurations... again.  Anyways I put the new configuration in.  For the future wise it shouldn't do it.  I'll try to keep an eye on it for...

From what I'm told Detroit is expensive as hell bandwidth wise.  I don't have that much of an idea for Detroit, but it seems the cheapest I can find so far is 90 dollars a month for 1U at http://www.managedway.com/rackmount-server-colocation/
