It's also got native Geofencing support in the app. Haven't played with it yet though. So far I'm beyond pleased with the thermostat!

If you have a lot of IMAP boxes don't forget about disk I/O. Do you have hundreds of thousands of emails between all of the IMAP accounts? Regardless, email is always a good place to throw in an SSD.

Can't say I run into any of those issues. I use a Logitech MX Revolution mouse, a CM Storm mechanical keyboard, 3 monitors on an Nvidia card + a TV output. HDMI audio, network, graphics, all works great! In fact, our entire office uses Linux as a desktop OS and it's pretty smooth sailing :)...

I'll look into this. Responsive/mobile isn't exactly my forte :p

Why Mac? Have you considered say, Arch Linux with a "pretty" WM like Cinnamon?

Ended up getting the full on Ecobee 3 with one room sensor for now. Probably add 2 more sensors in the future then I'll have enough sensors to use the automatic occupation logic, though geofencing might render that pointless.
