Not sure, you can look at Dell's website for production dates. I'll look into the drives when I get a kvm on them. They are not very new, but they will last for quite a long time. I'll throw in a 32gb ADATA SSD if you purchase these, since it's already in the CS24.

Considering I've been using Ubuntu since 2004, I've always enjoyed Debian and it's what I'm most familiar with. I went through a CentOS phase for about 3 months, but I realized Debian is just what I need and does everything I want my OS to do. Ubuntu is my favorite Linux desktop OS.

What's a good desktop environment to run on it? Is the default Raspbian okay?

I agree, however that doesn't help bring in IPv6 as an option. I think offers like these are vital for IPv6 becoming more of an option. IMHP IPv6 needs to be brought in at a more rapid pace because eventually IPv4 will be prohibitively expensive and the cost of IPv6 implementation will go up...
