Yep.

4u
5Amps + 5 physical plugs (I could provide 1u rack mount power distribution)
/28 in IP's
2TB Bandwidth
Gigabit port would be preferable but I'll take 100mbit
Not going to be picky on location.
I currently am using just over 1Tb/month bandwidth although I need the flexibility to go up to 3Tb.
I'll be looking for a /28 for IP addresses..
Power is about 5 amps total.
Looking for potential colocation services and need quotes.
3 1u servers (2 CS24-SC + 1 Poweredge 860)
Space for a small (desktop size) switch and an Edge Router Lite.
The problem here isn't the interaction between the databases and the websites, it's the fact that each database would have to be integrated using their own API. Some are TCP based, others socket, others are proprietary. Each would have it's own system to interact with and the developers would...
I'm going to stay out of the political side of this and look at it from a completely technical side.
Part of the issue is that the healthcare.gov site had to tap in to many external databases for each state and healthcare provider. This is not an easy thing to do when each one uses a different...

Add these to your /etc/apt/sources.list

deb-src http://mirror.geekcdn.com/dotdeb/ stable all
I'll get the gpg key setup in the morning as well.

Yeah, true. But their needs to be more room for profit and more dedicated specs. I'd rather pay a bit more and share the node with a few less people. :)
Not necessarily. I don't run a VPS business or an infrastructure anything like a VPS business would. I run 3 nodes that I just happen to be able to migrate VPS across, but that was not intentionally designed for load balancing.
They can enable on a client by client database. It's just a checkbox for the client. :)
Edit: If you want to give it a try PM me and you can sign up on my WHMCS install and test to see if it works. :)
