Debian 8 "Jessie" to be released today

I'll also wait atleast few months before upgrading my production systems to Jessie. Still have few servers running Lenny without issues, thanks to the LTS support. Also, there are many release parties happening in my place, almost 14 of them spread across the districts. Few photos from the one...

    phpMyAdmin alternative on vps?

I have been moving most of my web based database management to adminer recently. Its a single file easy to manage setup. Though not having fancy features like inline edits, it does the job. In the apache/nginx access/error logs for servers I manage, there are lots of entries probing for a valid...

What do you tell people you do for a living?

Web Hosting does contribute a part to my living, but Web/Mobile application development provides the major chunk. So, its a little different than what most of you guys do for a living. I usually say "I run a software development company". That works well for most people. Some who has tech...

    Recommended Wordpress plugins?

WordPress SEO by Yoast is among the best SEO plugins for Wordpress. On security side, I recommend iThemes Security (Formerly Better WP Security) and Wordfence. Its always better to keep backups and for that, I use BackUpWordPress.

    Does your computer ever sleep?

My main work computer is a Thinkpad. It sleeps when lid is closed when on A/C and hibernates if its on battery. For the past few weeks, it stays hibernated for around 5 hours every weekdays as its the time taken for my to and fro office travel. Also have 2 RPi's which stays on 24/7, one at...

Note Taking Apps - Probably a rehash - Recommend some

I tried out many and now settled with MyOwnNotes (Found from F-Droid store), which syncs to my ownCloud server, as plain text files. The UI is not so great, but it works and is very light weight. The only issue was that it required a https connection and since my owncloud instance doesn't have...

Mulitiple WAN Aggregation Devices - Anyone Using?

I haven't looked at bonding. As what I have read, if the upstreams are from same provider, it won't be much of an issue. The requirement I had was to provide a decent connectivity for around 160 systems and were 3 different upstreams. One of the setup uses a Dell E3 Tower Server, with 2 on-board...

Mulitiple WAN Aggregation Devices - Anyone Using?

pfsense does a good work with quality hardware. Have setup load balancing 3 DSL connections for multiple clients and they all works without any issue. Haven't tried any USB internet with the setup, but I think it will also be possible.

So, you haven't received the proof? Some reply conveyed the opposite to me.

    crissic.net - Reviews

Considering such a long thread, I believe most here will agree that it will be best if you post the proof in public. I went through the entire 3 pages once again for any proof provided by you, and it seems only @MannDude and @drmike have seen it. @MannDude has already told you to share it in...

    crissic.net - Reviews

I am getting the feeling that this is just a troll thread. SkylarM, WebSearchingPro and techhelper1 is very friendly in IRC as well as tickets. Just go to the IRC and ask someone. I don't think Crissic is staffed 24 hours and its reasonable for the cost you pay for their service. I have had...

    crissic.net - Reviews

I have 7 servers running in multiple Crissic nodes, without any issues. Have been with Crissic for more than an year, without any issues over network and hardware. Skylar and other support staff has been very friendly, both in IRC and tickets. The only issue I face is a delay in ticket response...

    vpsBoard fitness club!

I am just the opposite of you guys. Whatever I eat, doesn't show up in body. Underweight for all the time I could remember. Now just 47KG (103 Pounds), where my colleagues are trying their best to get down to 60 to 70 range. It has an advantage that I can eat whatever I like and doesn't have...

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Done. It was sent using Amazon SES. No idea why it landed in spam even then.
