LET Q1 2014 Top Provider Poll Results

@mpkossen So, are the official results out? I can't find it on LEB homepage.

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

I was asking about the particular setup that arieonline mentioned, like a cPanel customer or reseller having his/her own setup to backup data, including databases periodically to a separate server. Its always a peace for mind to know that there is a copy of the recent data present in a separate...

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

@KuJoe The speeds look good enough for me; much better than what I have seen earlier in other threads. Is there any specific reason for canceling your order. MarkTurner at LET keeps on saying that IPv6 is native in Atlanta and 4 upstream providers supporting it.

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

Can you share the scripts? Databases are of more importance for me to backup. For a cPanel account, it seems possible to backup using custom scripts, but seems impossible for a reseller account to backup each cPanel under it. Correct me if I am wrong.

    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

I would like to buy the shared hosting plans, but backups are what keeps me away. It can't be automated within cPanel as we can do in a VM. Do you have any backup/restore options in place, so I get an extra layer for the data security.

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

Finally decided to go with CloudShards/GetDedi, with their $49 plan (https://getdedi.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=14) at Dallas, Texas. Ordered it today and hope to have it delivered by the end of week.

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

Hi KuJoe, I missed out that plan in their offers. It suits me well, but what I am bothered about is the connectivity. Planning to backup my VPS's around US and one of the network tests shown is the LEB thread is very low, even lower than what my VPS's have. So, can you run the freevps.us...

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

I am not expecting something above 6TB now. So, if your $49 plan can accommodate that, I'll be more happy to go with it. And Xeon L5520 seems like a pretty good CPU, actually best among the offers I received. The reason I don't need more RAM is that it will tempt me to make more virtual...

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

This is not going to be used to sell VPS, but only for personal use. So, I am not interested in anything more than 8GB RAM as of now. If you can cut down the RAM and reflect that on the price, it would be great.

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

Thanks, Have PM'd you. Hope an enterprise HDD will be good enough to handle the IO. If you can provide a 2 disk setup with a smaller SSD and 500GB HDD, that might also work fine for me.

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

One KVM will be for backup with disk encryption. Other two will run LAMP, mostly PHP applications with MySQL/MariaDB as database. Do you offer any moneyback guarantee or coupons for the deal?

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

I checked your site. Is Ivy Bridge Pentium G2030 good enough for running 3 KVM's, with modest loads? If it does, it seems like a good deal for around USD 45.

Budget Dedi requirement >4GB RAM, Supports Virtualization

$80 seems somewhat high and I can do only monthly/quarterly payments as of now. May I know which datacenter and do you have any test IP?

    Fail2ban configuration...

The default configuration usually has most of the rules disabled. You must override them in jail.local. Still researching on the different rules. Will share more details, once I have a clear picture.

Webmail client to read multiple accounts at once

Tried playing with rainloop for a while today. The interface looks much better compared to Roundcube. But, it doesn't play well with the mail accounts configured under virtualmin(postfix), with the username.domain or similar login formats. Encountered many bugs as there isn't any option to...

Mine tuns the transmission-daemon pretty well, with the web interface enabled.

    VPS6.net credits for exchange

I have around $17 as account credit left with vps6.net. Stopped using their service almost 8 months back as I lost faith. Not sure they have improved, but seems like the prices have been raised. I remember being told that the credits can be transferred to someone, but can't be refunded through...

Raspberry Pi powered by solar module

We had run Pi on solar power, with storage batteries of course, along with a DC powered LED monitor, USB HDD and USB CD drive. It was a port of the Freedom Toaster, to raspberry Pi to burn CD/DVD's for an event.  I was more involved in porting the code, but could hook you up with the guy who...

GreenValueHost outsources customer support to India.

Well, I just completed reading the 7 pages and the discussion is now on a completely separate route. No comments, as it isn't something of my interest.
