    Why high RAM vps?

The CPython VM is pretty memory heavy, even when using WSGI containers like uWSGI.  If you're running multiple uWSGI processes, each one can take 50-100mb RAM easily. I wonder if pypy is any better on memory usage -- but I suspect that it is probably not.  Perhaps something to look at on a...

    Do you send abuse emails?

A lot of abuse desks will process the ticket but not reply. This is probably what is happening, but if the abuse persists after contacting them, regardless of contact, you should shame them.  Also, abuse desks should be stripping the contact details of the complainant.

    KVM anomaly

It might be a setting on the libvirt XML solusvm generates that is wrong, look at the on_reboot setting or whatever it is called.

Curious: Is there a reason why Xen HVM is not usable for you? Even when running with upstream qemu instead of qemu-dm?

Are the days gone that it's hard to get a buyvm box?

Ouuuuuuch.  I remember that from when I had servers with lightwave.net which were using EGIHosting.  You can imagine how well that policy impacted DroneBL...

Training to become a more valuable asset for hosting related jobs?

I think a lot of hiring departments are seeing that certs are utterly worthless these days.  Google for example is increasingly hiring people with no formal certification or degree. At the end of the day, what matters is if you can do what you say you're doing.

    WHT Down

That's essentially why I quit paying them $300/year or whatever it was for "corporate membership" when I ran RapidXen.  And, I certainly have no intention to ever do that again in the future. Seeing your offer posts get buried by summer hosts and people just working as hard as they can to take...

    SolusVM 1.13.09/1.14.00 R9 Update Released!

At least when I was at Enzu, I remember on each node a configuration option for choosing whether to use XM or XL toolstack.  The XL toolstack was recommended by SolusVM for Xen 4.1+. Are you running on Sandy Bridge or newer?  If so, Ubuntu botched their kernel.  You have to upgrade it to the...

Reserving Disk Space you Purchased from the Oversold VPS providers

Sign me up.  Lets hang out in front of ColoCrossing Buffalo first. That seems like an epic waste of time on OpenVZ.  With the rest of them, overcommiting disk is a lot more difficult, so I doubt it's going on.

    WHT Down

Yeah, a nerd girlfriend.  Rare species, I know. Actually, a lot of people know what WHT is, and go there to look up reviews on hosts before buying.  I think that a much smaller percentage of WHT's eyeball count actually post there.  That's basically, the only reason why I care at all about WHT...

Wholesaleinternet $19 per Month - Server Grab Bags.. more stock!

Personally, I am kind of skeptical of WII because of this part of their TOS: I can understand not allowing ROMs as they are technically "warez."  But emulators are just computer programs, and... text about pyrotechnics is not allowed?  Seriously...? Also: The fact that they have considered...
