We've actually added a map to our website, here's what the map will look like once we're finished (the shields represent the actual city location): Unfortunately our Ohio location is not set in stone yet so we're not releasing the data center publicly. Our New Jersey location will also be...

Running haveged to enhance your system entropy

We use rngd for our servers but I decided to give haveged a try and ran some tests, here's the results: OpenVZ Node with rngd: # cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail 3968   ]# cat /dev/random | rngtest -c 1000 rngtest 2 Copyright (c) 2004 by Henrique de Moraes Holschuh This is free...

    LowEndPing

@Nikki I can see the requests hitting the servers and the response hitting the webserver but it's just not updating the page in IE10 or IE11. What's weird is that it works sometimes in IE11 but when it does work, if I refresh the page it won't work again. I've updated the bootstrap CSS and JS...

All of the servers except Ohio are already at the data centers and all of the paperwork has been submitted and filled out, we're just waiting for them to unbox the servers and rack them which usually takes 2 weeks and another 2-3 weeks to get the network setup.

RamNode looking for a new panel

Wow, I would add KVM support to Wyvern for much less than $20k but some of the other requests would be a deal breaker for me. :( (Mobile)

Maybe. We didn't expect it to take over a month to rack a single server.

The only browsers I can't get to work are IE10 and IE11. See the other thread for working browsers I've tested.

What browser? It looks like some people are able to use it fine and others are not. I can't use it on Chrome on my tablet but it works fine on Chrome on my laptop.

Need an OS recommendation for children.

I run ClearOS on all of my ESXi hosts, I love it. I wish it had IPv6 support since I've been moving everything over to IPv6 since Comcast dumps all IPv6 traffic over to Level3 so I get half the hops that I do over IPv4 at home. :)

Updated our status page to include the LowEndPing script I mentioned above. Now you can do a ping and traceroute from all of our locations with one click to make testing easier. :) http://drgn.biz/

Need an OS recommendation for children.

Anybody can use Windows, especially Windows 8. It's also worth mentioning that my daughter most likely will be home schooled but even if she isn't, I doubt she'll be using any of the current or upcoming versions of Windows. Also, Office online is pretty nice these days. :)

Unable to Resolve WHT via Comcast

I can browse it just fine from my Comcast connection. Also keep in mind that they disable ICMP replies so you can't ping/traceroute to their servers.

Need an OS recommendation for children.

Luckily my daughter is only 3 so all of the games she plays are flash based and she doesn't know the difference between Windows/Linux/Android yet. When she's older she's welcome to install whatever OS she wants but for now I want her to have some exposure to linux.

Need an OS recommendation for children.

I considered that but Chrome/ChromiumOS is a little limited from what I've seen from it. It's not out of the question but I'd still prefer a linux OS so when she's older I can just install another Linux flavor and she'll pick it right up. My co-worker suggested this to me also, I'll have to...

Need an OS recommendation for children.

I've been wanting to use Qimo as recommended by both of those links but it looks like it's using an EOL version of Ubuntu so no patches and it hasn't been updated since 2010. I did manage to find a working download link so I'm still downloading it to try it out. :(
