Well if I cut the raid card + bbu and whatever "enterprise" features I might actually get closer to OVH pricing... but that's like the RAM price... meh.

Problem with New York and east coast in general now is OVH and friends. In the past a lot purchased NY/NJ/etc is European customers. Now they rather get a OVH dedicated server for similar price. I'd downscale and not go towards any east coast operations until we see how the whole fiasco pans out.

What has 99.9% uptime SLA? The Kimsufi? Isn't it best effort as per their website? You need to pay extra to use Backupsy? Even for what you're doing like Time Machine?

A lot of LEB buyers don't care sadly. They just want more disk, ram and cpu. They compare you to specs ignoring a lot of things. Hence the super overselling trend and now this :(

There is real uptime and uptime SLA. I was looking for a dedicated server to rent earlier, and 1 company said, we provide 100% uptime SLA (with a single PSU and single feed). I asked them how this was possible. They said, well, we'll replace the PSU if it dies and credit you back, but it's rare.

Definitely will. I know we asked about Windows KVM earlier -- it will launch along with this. We've delayed doing that just to build better infrastructure first. Linux KVM will also be available at the same time.

The merger isn't happening soon. They will exist separately for as long as possible at the moment. Same as level3 and Global Crossing. There will be some shared peering and that's it. Atrato is only good because it's cheap.
