The same way we handle abuse/etc now. If it gets reported to us, we'll get with the client and get it dealt with. But privacy is a very high concern for us - unlike some providers that like to go sorting through their clients' data, that is an absolute no-go with us.

and that we'll simply use one of the cpanel NGINX plugins.
We have plans in place if need be. Granted, I can't remember the last time I heard of them
actually enforcing that.

I tend to try and talk people away from porn hosting in any case - honestly, when you take into account licensing and legal issues, something like Litespeed is the very least of your concerns.
Backups are on the menu, we've just not decided on how to do it on the customer end of things.
We'll most likely roll backups and just have users ticket if they need something.
I have a fairly busy weekend with backups in NJ and such so i'll likely get shared figured out then too.

So horribly tempted to give one of these plans a try even though I have absolutely no use for it, just because I've heard so many good things about BuyVM!
Just wondering, does your AUP apply to shared/reseller hosting as well, especially when it comes to resource usage? I know that most places tend to have slightly different ToS/AUP for that from their VPS/dedicated plans.

i'm able to use my own script to automatic full backup my cPanel account on buyvm to my vps with scp run every night
Is it possible to script in languages other than php? E.g. run cgi's written in python or whatever?
Litespeed is some kind of apache clone that's supposed to be faster, but has an anti-porn TOS? Heh. I'm not personally interested in serving porn but this is the type of thing that makes me stay with FLOSS code exclusively, as much as I can. Why not nginx, if apache isn't fast enough?

NGINX doesn't handle apache HTACCESS files nicely. Litespeed is a drop in replacement meaning users rarely have to modify anything in their HTACCESS files to get the job done. As this product grows it'd simply be too much effort on both the customer and on us to manually add regexp matches. Now, there is some nginx plugins for cpanel that will do some weird magic to pass the htaccess to apache to parse, but I've not spent much time researching it.
We don't have Ruby enabled but I can get that done. Python shouldn't be a big deal since you can just use htaccess to tell it to treat python files as CGI scripts.

Can you share the scripts? Databases are of more importance for me to backup. For a cPanel account, it seems possible to backup using custom scripts, but seems impossible for a reseller account to backup each cPanel under it. Correct me if I am wrong.
