I'm old school like that. Way too easy to burn things up :) Still haven't bought a Pi, but considering one to drive a pair of radio transmitters (AM and FM).  Feed the transmitters audio, store the programming, etc. Have to get up to speed with Jack and other other tools to get the solution...

Anyone temperature tested a case like that with the Pi?

CC is shameless. If they spent more time tending their sites, installing patches, software upgrades, etc. they wouldn't have the house VPS brand hacked, then the "we scammed it" kid hosting site hacked.  Hell, they might be in better financial condition and not need to be offering those...

You can colo at Datashack and possibly WSI for non special rate of $45/month (Datashack). In the past I've had no luck finding people with space rack space beneath the public ad rates at these facilities.

Ahh @24khost has some nutty promo themes.  Read the LET thread and it was moderately, well, LET. People are wound too tightly or perhaps are high moral adherents.  Nothing wrong with that in my book.  I like the morally slim majority. Balls have never been per se a PG thing in said context...

As for why this happens... Folks will claim malicious activity against Google.  Main reason?  Someone may have made automated search queries to Google to analyze rank, placement, etc. Find it mighty odd that Google routinely pummels site owners with lousy requests and hordes of requests, but...

DuckDuckGo is very cool. I also recommend Startpage.com, which gives you Google results but doesn't spy on you or leak info.

2 hours is fine if not too busy. Database backups are a problem since no simple way I know of to deal with updates.   You could develop a non-update database model and deal with linear point in time incrementals. Currently, no big solution on my side for database since I have over 200GB...

I don't buy into the latest and greatest.  So can't say AMD is better or worse. This sort of competition between AMD and Intel is quite old and tired though. AMD is certainly capable and competitive.  Unsure why VPS land is so Intel-centric lately.
